The aluminum honeycomb panel core is made of polyurethane and epoxy resin room temperature curing adhesives, and its bonding strength is low, and the 180° peeling strength measured for the aluminum honeycomb panel with a honeycomb core edge length of 4mm, a panel thickness of 1mm, and a total thickness of 10mm is about 4N/mm. The adhesion and weather resistance of this aluminum honeycomb panel are poor, and the bonding performance is greatly reduced after 1 year of use. The aluminum honeycomb panels produced by this process are not suitable for outdoor use, but can be used for indoor decorative partitions.

2. The adhesive strength of the aluminum honeycomb panel produced by the epoxy adhesive film process is low, and the 180° peel strength of the aluminum honeycomb panel with a honeycomb core edge length of 4mm, a panel thickness of 1mm, and a total thickness of 10mm is about 4N/mm, but its bonding performance is good and weather resistant, and its peel strength decreases very little after 1 year of use. The disadvantage is that the adhesive layer of the aluminum honeycomb panel is brittle, and the aluminum honeycomb panel will be delaminate after long-term vibration.

3. The bonding strength of the aluminum honeycomb panel produced by the continuous composite process of thermoplastic adhesive film is 3-5 times that of the aluminum honeycomb panel produced by the first two processes, and the measured 180° peel strength value is about 18N/mm for the aluminum honeycomb panel with a side length of 4mm, a panel thickness of 1mm, and a total thickness of 10mm. It has good adhesion and weather resistance, and its peel strength decreases very little after 1 year of use.

Due to the continuous production, the aluminum honeycomb panels are highly efficient and can meet the requirements of short-term high-volume supply. The disadvantage of this process is that the equipment of the planar continuous thermal compounding machine used is expensive and the investment is huge. Thermoplastic adhesive film is a special hot-melt adhesive film, and the adhesive film itself must have high cohesive strength and tensile strength, so as to ensure the firm bonding of aluminum honeycomb panels. If a standard hot melt adhesive film is used, the adhesive strength is very low, with a 180° peel strength value of only 3 N/mm.
